I would go with the simple solution that the 2 - sqr rt x < 0 for the whole expression amkes it not real or in other words complex.
Substituting values from the options 5 satisfies it. This is a quick way to do it.
In case there were other options which would have satisfied the inequation. We should check the other inequality which is 1 - sqr rt ( 2 - sqr rt x ) <0.

All we have to do is substitute each value from the choices and the moment we end up with a square root of a negative number, we have found the answer.
