From reading this board, GMATprep appear to be the best indicator of actual test performance out there. That said, my score jumped 50 points on the actual test (710 on both practice tests). However, some have had the experience that scores drop on the actual test. I would take your scores with a gra...

Looking at total number of wrong answers is not a good way to compare your scores. First, if you look at the individual quant and verbal scores, you got more wrong in math and fewer wrong in verbal the second time. This would indicate that the quant scaled score varies much more (which makes sense s...

When you say you finished half of the OG, which half are you referring too? Did you just do maybe the first 50-100 problems in each section. The easier questions appear at the beginning of the sections so doing these and only these well may have inflated your expectations. I would spend time doing a...

I took the gmatprep practice test the day before my test and on the actual test I did 50 points better. So it's definitely possible (simply based on chance) that your score could increase, although I've also heard of decreasing scores. But if you don't want to rely on chance, I would definitely work...

Not gonna lie, I have no experience with either. However, I have heard good things about both.

While the exam does not provide explanations for answers, you may find it beneficial to reason in your head why your answer is wrong and the correct answer is indeed correct. I found this method to be particularly helpful with data sufficiency questions. When you think through the answer to a proble...

You might want to spend a considerable amount of time reviewing the basic concepts tested on the exam. For instance, grab a test prep book which goes over basics of algebra, properties of numbers, geometry, and even basic grammar. Becoming comfortable with this material will not only allow you to an...

Killed it! 760 (Q47 V50)
I'm pretty excited. Although I'm not applying to "business" school (just a 5 year accounting program, only needed a 600 to get in), it still feels awesome to do well on a test. I started preparing about 3.5-4 weeks ago, but only seriously in the last two weeks. Study Materials: Barron's GM...

miracles do happen. i don't need to do particularly well on this test. i'm not applying to business school per say. i'm applying to a fifth year masters program in accountancy. taking this test is more of a formality than an admissions determinant.

OG11
I'm going through the OG questions in what is now the last week before my exam. Having just started the questions in this guide I most certainly won't be able to do all of them. Are the questions arranged in order of difficulty or are they random throughout the sections? Would it benefit me to work ...
