GMAT prep

The number of stamps that K and a had were in the ratio 5:3 respectively. After K gave A 10 of her stamps , the ratio of the number K had to the nuber of stamps A had was in the ratio 7:5. as aresult of this gift, K had how many more stamps than A?

i m sorry.... stat 2 states lest common multiple.....

but why statement 2 is not sufficent ., i have tried other numbers also for ex: 3 and 10 the remainder is 1 again , so i feel that since remainder is 1 can't we conclude that r is not greater than 1 , pls explain where i m wrong......

Why?,,ans is not C

from both 1 & 2 we know that no. lies b/w 0.26 to 0.32 and in all these cases the tenth dight is 3
