That's an interesting take.... If I did what you are suggesting, I would be "worried" that I had not perfected and seen ALL the official GMAT questions before I take the actual test. However, I see your point and will take it into account. On the other hand, what if you were 2 days from y...

Hopefully, I can get a really good score on my "clean" take of GMATPrep 2 in a few weeks. Additionally, I have access to QBank so I'll be using it in similar way to you - thanks for the tip. I have significantly improved quant from 18th percentile to consistently achieving 80th percentile...

Thank you guys for the responses. The score is higher than I initially expected, causing me to reconsider the list of schools I originally intended on applying to. I have a brother living in New York and would like to be close to him, so east coast schools are the stronger option for me. I am an ent...

740 / 50Q / 41V - Advice about Psychology of Exam
So I ended up scoring better on Q than I did in all the practice exams and worse on V than I did in all the practice exams. I think this had to do mostly with just running out of gas somewhere towards the end of the exam. Since everyone focuses on study materials during their debriefs, I will try to...

Congratulations! Great score!
I am taking the test tomorrow and am very nervous that my final score will differ from my GMATPrep scores.
Did you feel the real thing was similar to GMATPrep?

Congratulations! You got a great score. I am sure GMATPREP scores get skewed because some of the questions are familiar from the OG.
I think 690 can get you into any school you want if you have a good applications. Best of luck!

Just to put things in perspective - I just took GMATPrep2. Had 9(!) errors in quantative and still got a 50 (out of 51) - this includes a series of 6 out of 9 wrong towards the end! Had 5 errors in verbal and got a 44 (out of 49). Came out to a 760. A friend of mine got the same score with 6 Q error...

Understanding Kaplan CAT Results
Hi, I've been enrolled in a course with Kaplan's affiliate at my home country called Kidum (fantastic, by the way). We've finally reached the point where we're taking exams. We took gmatprep 1 on the first day of the course. I got a 670 (44Q, 38V). About a month later we took the Kaplan diagnostic o...

Application Essays
Hi, Thank you for this wonderful forum. I'm curious. What do you think goes through the heads of members of the admissions committee when they read the essays? Obviously, they read plenty of essays, maybe several a day. It has to become routine after a while. Is there any hope of really standing out...

Technically you may have gotten only "pilot" questions wrong while getting all "real" questions right. Seems unlikely, but not impossible.
