as to is almost always wrong in GMAT, so E is gone.

D is awkward SO secret. Is it ? I am not sure

C - modifier problem


I am down to A and B but do not know which one to choose.

IMO A

Subject has to be the product.

This is a tricky one: However, the answer cannot be because if we read carefully, it might sound that consumers were unaware of the secret but not of the product, whereas in reality, the author wants us to understand that the consumers were left unaware of the product and not the secret. So, it is the product that left the consumers offguard and not the secret. I hope the mumbo-jumbo makes sense.

So, I would go with [A]. From the flashcards, I found:

SO x AS TO BE y is correct usage. It's an IDIOM.

Question: Is SO x THAT y a IDIOM too?
