Hello,

I'm planning on applying for the class of 2010 and am curious if I'm a competitive candidate for my top 5 choices.

At the time of application my profile would look like this:

White Male
Cornell University '06 gpa: 3.3/3.4
Industrial and Labor Relations major, but did very well in finance and stats courses
GMAT: 720
Completed all 3 CFA exams

Work Experience: 1 year of Compensation/HR Strategy Consulting - Worked for multiple clients doing a myriad of analyses. Only began managing very small projects before my departure

2 years at well known financial services firm in data strategy and operations. Worked on a large project team and exhibited leadership characteristics, creativity, and effectiveness - the project will provide significant and quantifiable improvements and efficiencies in my group's processes. Oversee activities of 1 - 2 people that support a product.

I expect very positive letters of recommendation from either and/or both employers.

Extra-Curric: Mentoring at risk youth for a year at time of application
Participated in Cornell's undergrad alumni admission network for three years (interviewing undergrad applicants each spring)

My goal from the MBA is employment in consulting/finance

Top 5 choices are:

Any input you might have on my chances given the limited information above would be greatly appreciated.
