Hi, I started my GMAT study last month and was aiming to take the GMAT tomorrow. However, I tried three Official Prep tests last five days and my last prep score was 38 on the Quant and 28 on verbal. Thus, I decided to reschedule GMAT to late Dec aiming 700+
My verb was clearly the weaker of the two and I have worked very hard for the past month. English is my second language, so in the past five weeks, I practiced Verbal each day for two hours per day and half hour on the Quant.
GMAT books I was working from:
OG 13
Manhattan GMAT entire booklet
I want to ask experts for advice on conquering the GMAT. I work FT and previously I dedicated 3 hrs a day on weekdays and 8 hrs each on Sat and Sun on the past 5 weeks. I also took four days off from work which I was putting in at least 10 to 12 hrs daily but I saw absolutely no improvement in my score. I was burnt out and realized that I am not ready to take my GMAT tomorrow. Then I read the Ron's post that it can be detrimental to study too much without a break and also I am stressing out.
I am planning to take a break this week and start fresh for next week. Thus, I would like some advice from experts on how to study GMAT smartly.
Thank you so much.
600 to 700+ in 7 weeks? Can Expert pls provide some advice?

Hi Jianh314,
Taking 3 practice CATs in 5 days was NOT a good idea. You should plan to take no more than 1 CAT/week; most of your time should be spent on practice problems and review.
That having been said, can you provide the scores for each of your practice CATs (include the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
Also, have you actually scheduled your GMAT yet or are you just planning to take the Test at the end of December?
