I started with the Diagnostic Test in OG12. Before starting, I knew I have to concentrate on verbal first and so I only gave the Verbal Part of the test. As per the interpretive guide, page 45 OG12, my scores were:
RC: Below Average-- disliked this from childhood :x
CR: Above Average-- read about GMAT CR sometime back, also had tried few in past
SC: Above Average-- read about GMAT SC sometime back, also had tried few in past

Clearly, the main focus is RC.

So, I read OG12 instructions. Got Manhattan GMAT, RC Guide 4th Edition from a friend.
After completing it religiously, I also peeped into Manhattan GMAT Online session of Short and Long RC. And then started with RC of OG12.

I got 45 wrong answers out of 139 total questions, scattered in 24 passages.
I found that I was able to apply few strategies, but this result seems a very low to me.

Now having done RC from OG, and getting a not-to-good-output, I am confused what to do next.
Keep working on RC(but how?) or move on to improve SC/CR.

Please advice. I have also analyzed the results of every question/passage/type/subtype in a excel(was doing it after every passage)
Can upload it if the experts want to see :)

Every topic is equally important so you got to concentrate on all. Don't just restrict to RC. MGMAT guides are in fact awesome material. Read this article https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2011/06/ ... on-gmat-rc Its an awesome article. Also other supporting articles for RC are below,

Hope it helped.

thanks sivaelectric.. those were really some nice links.

Actually, I get distracted and lost when I concentrate on multiple items at one time. I know everything is equally important, but intent to work on one specific part until I reach a good level.
RC is my main concern at the moment.
39 wrong outta 139. I should have reviewed my application of strategies while doing OG 12 :banghead:
I feel that I cant apply everything from MGMAT-RC while attempting OG. I want to improvise more. A lot more in fact. I have not made any flashcard kinda thing in past, but now think it is important.
Could you please suggest some other material for practicing RC?
(Will give 2nd shot at OG, after finishing both verbal and math. )

I will start giving tests only when I will be fully prepared in every area. Just don't want to waste the tests.

One more quick query-- how much is the difference between OG11 and OG12. Is spending some time on OG11 worth if doing OG12 religiously!?

Firstly it is a bad idea to have almost a self fulfilling prophecy that you are bad at RC! What I feel is you are almost out to prove you are bad at RC :) There is no problem in making 39 mistakes out of 139 on OG - especially if the mistakes were skewed towards the end (OG is graded from easy to hard).

What you need now is to take a GMATPrep test and assess where you stand.

BTW if you are referring to 2 version of OG 11 and 12 here is a simplified list of Verbal questions that are different in the OG 11th and 12th edition:
