E-GMAT (STEP # 1)

by ahmedhammam » Tue Jun 28, 2016 3:38 am
Hello!

I am quite confused on which to proceed with, the GMAT online or the GMAT Live Prep. Can someone please advise on the pros and cons of each? I am starting off with reading through the MGMAT then will proceed with one of the above courses?

Thanks a lot!

Hi ahmedhammam,

When it comes to studying for the GMAT, there are a variety of different options. You certainly have to think about how YOU learn best. Thankfully, there is a practical way to decide which resources to use - most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. We have a variety of those resources at our website (www.empowergmat.com). I suggest that you take advantage of all of them then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.

1) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
2) What is your goal score?

Hello Rich,

Thanks a lot for your reply:
1) I have 3-4 months
2) I'm aiming for 700+

Thank you

Hi ahmedhammam,

Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so it looks like you've given yourself the proper amount of time - which is good. When studying, it's often best to study in small 'chunks' throughout the week (as opposed to just 'cramming' on the weekends).

1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
2) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
3) Have you taken a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT yet?
