Hey mlane,
Let S = sale price of one sweater, C = cost (to the store) of one sweater
n = number of sweaters sold
Question stem: S = C + 30
Need to find n
Statement 1: 270 = S*n = (C + 30)*n
One equation and two variables. INSUFF
Statement 2: (150/100)*C = C + 30
Can solve for C but we are not told anything about n. INSUFF
Statements 1 & 2: Plug value of C into 270 = (C + 30)*n and solve for n.
SUFFICIENT
