Knewton inference 9

by itsmebharat » Wed Jun 01, 2011 11:27 pm
Given the situation below, which of the following is the most valid inference?

The order of bats called the megabats, or fruit bats, are unusual in that they do not generally use echolocation, the famous biological sonar device with which animals orient themselves by sensing the echoes reflecting off nearby surfaces.

(A) Megabats would be nearly identical to other orders of bats if they used echolocation.
(B) Echolocation is more useful for bats that eat flies and other animals than for those that eat fruit.
(C) Megabats live in environments with lots of light, and so echolocation is unnecessary.
(D) Megabats use a different kind of biological sonar to orient themselves.
(E) Some orders of bats use echolocation in order to orient themselves.
