Of the remaining answers, only C makes a logical and parallel comparison, comparing what happens IN Hungary to what happens IN much of Eastern Europe. The sentence is saying that, IN BOTH PLACES, an overwhelming proportion of women WORK. Eliminate B, D and E.

The correct answer is C.
