Rubbish !!!!

Yesterday one of my friend wrote the exam in Mumbai, India. He was averaging 670-680 in the practice tests and surely hoping to get the score in this range. But he finally got only 580. According to him, the proctor told him that the toughness level of GMAT has gone up (I can't believe it a bit, how can this happen? The proctor is not supposed to give comment like this) and that the scheduled break time has been reduced to 8 minutes from the previous 10 minutes. I think this guy is sweating too much about his results and giving excuses for his performance. Does someone feel that this could be true?

...such chats happen in GMAT exam room. what else they'd talk other than GMAT? (it's raining heavily these days, of course!)

whatever proctor say could be based on the experience of past GMAT test takers but that's definitely not authoritative! I hope they had chat after the test & not before or during it. ;)

As for reduced recess break we should thank him for informing. More so, we can confirm it by asking other people who recently taken the test.

I'll investigate///

According to Manhattan Gmat blog the breaks between sections have been reduced from 10 mins to 8 mins.

Note: I am not able to post the Manhattan Gmat Blog link due to some error.
But here is another link which says so.

I agree, but telling such things beforhand to a candidate is not acceptable, if the proctor has done so. Yeah, i agree that proctor should warn employee regarding the breaks. Even, during my test, the procor told me that he will warn me after nine minutes, but that never happened
