Let number of men in country be 200 and women be 100.
So as per statement (2)

Employed men greater than 65 = 40
Employed woment greater than 65 = 10

So total people employed greater than 65 = 50

Now 50 is greater than 10% of total population that is 300*10% = 30.

This will be true for all combination of numbers, hence statement (2) is sufficient.

Answer = B.

Hope this helps!
