In the xy-plane , line K has positive slope & x-intercept 4. If the area of the triangle formed by line K & the two axes is 12, what is the y-intercept of line K?
Answer Choices: -6, -4, -3, 3, 6

Positive slope means that a line extends upwards from left to right. Since the line has x-intercept of 4, it should have a negative y-intercept.
So, choices D and E are gone.
Next area of triangle (1/2)*4*h = 12
So, h = 6 but since y-intercept should be negative the height should be -6

No problem Slikk
I do not have any specific document on slopes but Manhattan GMAT's Geometry strategy guide seems to have pretty decent info. I have some notes from it and will try to send over.
