Verbal need help

by singhag » Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:37 pm
Two days back I have scored 610 M 49 and V 25...will be retaking the test in two month...this will be do and die attempt...need to score atleast 720+

I have devised the following plan for one month
1000 SC
1000 CR (completed LSAT CR Bible will review, loosing some confidence here)
Regular reading
DS/PS on weekends

For next month OG and Test

But my accuracy in 1000 SC is 50% dont know how to improve it... most of the time I get wrong between last two option. I think there is something wrong with my strategy...I have done Manhattan SC guide also will revise it.

When i started my accuracy is 75% it has come down to 50% i think I am analyzing it too much...please guide me I need to improve on it.

Accuracy down from 75% to 50%... Hmm... I wonder what could have caused that? One option could be the fact that indeed you are overanalyzing stuff. You've read the MGMAT SC guide, but it doesn't seem to help you. MY guess is that you've read it, but have not reviewed it properly, so the huge number of tips/rules all form a "black cloud" in your head, which leads to confusion. Maybe you should go over it again, but make sure you give yourself enough time to properly digest the material.

Thanks Dana, you are right too many concepts are making me confuse thats why I have started making note of all the hidden concept in the SC question and will revise them on the regular basis. I hope it will help. Also as suggested by you I will also revise the Manhattan SC.

I hope it should show an improvement will post my progress next week to make sure I am on track.
