IF X.Y=0 => x=0 or y=0 or both=0.

Equate all fectors to zero one by one and your will get values of X, add them.

(x + 1) = 0 => x=-1.
(x − 2)=0 => x=2
(x − 3) = 0 => x=3

-1+2+3 = 4.

(x + 1)(x − 2)(x − 3) = 0

each part can be zero and give us the root.
=>
(x + 1) = 0 : x=-1
(x − 2) = 0 : x=2
(x − 3) = 0 : x=3
=>
answer is 4.
