I was joking with B, I am still standing behind my original answer - A.

Vsicd,
I would say about a 7.

y=5^1/4 x=10 dint come to my mind ; took a chance even though it said y is positive and not positive intger which doesnt always work in someone's favor.

If possible please post official answers when posting questions. We have hada detailed discussion so far so let us know what the correct answer is.

Regards,
Cramya

OA E.

Logitech why du think it is A?

What makes you think Y cannot have 2 values?
The GMAT is indeed adaptable. Whenever I answer RC, it proficiently 'adapts' itself to mark my 'right' answer 'wrong'.

Okay Y can have different values including 5 and there will always be a positive and a negative root for Y^4.

E makes sense.

Law of diminishing returns applies to you too Logitech... :-)

Jus kidding! Personally I dont belive in this hype - Either u get it right or wrong(takeaways are plenty in either case). More practice doesnt hurt u.

Just my 1.5 cents.....

I think logitech meant E!!
on a scale of 10, IMO this one should be between 7-8!
quite an interesting twist of y being 1/4!!
good on you.
