Dear beatthegmat community,

I've taken the GMAT for the second time. I scored 410! Very dissapointed Sad

I've taken the GMAT for the first time before around one year and scored at that time 430.

For the first time, GMAT score: 430
Quantitative 44
Verbal 9
AWA 3.5

For the scond time, GMAT score: 410
Quantitative 44 too
Verbal 6
AWA not yet.

For the first time, I just almost gussed every question; however, fot the second time, I tried to analyze every question to get it right. I thought my Quantitative level was very bad which will be almost in the mid of 30s.

PLEASE GUYS, I only have almost two months to get it done. I need to score 550 at least. What to do? Keeping in mind I just studied around 7 books for the second time but without any difference in the score!

HOW TO BREAK THE VERBAL?!!! MY SCORE IS DAMAGED BECAUSE OF IT!!!!!

Keep in mind, the time is very limited to pass the test. Should I retake it twice or what?!! My Quantitative is almost very high. HOW TO GET 550 at least
Sad

ONLLY TWO MONTHS!!

Regards and waiting for your thanked reponses

hey thr.

m no expert but from ur verbal score i can say that u hav some serious problem in verbal. u should see posts by people who have cracked the GMAT. U can learn a lot from thr mistakes and from thr strategies.

My suggestions:

-Make flash cards
-Go thr Manhattan SC
-Re do OG and OGV
-Try not to take more than 1.45 mins / que
-Try to understand what is being tested in the que.
-Finally, dont give the test untill you are satisfied with your progress (ofcourse if u dont hav any options then cant help it.)

give your 100% and study honestly.

All the best

Wink

consider taking any one of the many courses available such as Kaplan , Veritas, Manhattan etc.

studying from 7 books is probably not the key. The key is to actually understand the material. Do you know all the rules for SC. Do you know the tricks for CR. Do you actually understand the passage before you answer questions in RC.

Take practice tests , lots of them.

One of the best advice that you will hear often on this website is making sure that you dont make the same mistake twice. Do whatever it takes, make notes, memorize etc .. but make sure that you repeat mistakes.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

missionmba & anshul265, Thank You Very Much.

I will do more than 100%. I promise you I will do so, and will tell you about the results.

Sentence Correction:
* tricks ...

Reading Comprehension:
* analatycal reading ...

Critical Reasoning:
* differentiating among the questions types and take the right strategies and techniques ...

FLASH CARDS should be done!!

Nothing will be difficult from now on!

Hopefully, the verbal will be tackled.

Regards ..
